About the team
Chris and Alison Burns moved to the south of France from the UK in 2002. Since that time they have built up and now run a successful holiday and yoga centre. In the winter Chris, formerly a gas engineer, renovates and upgrades the property, while Alison writes and teaches Yoga. In November 2013 they made a trip to Nepal and returned home determined to help alleviate some of the poverty they had witnessed. Nepal Remote Villages Trust is the result. 
Mark Gallant, ACMA, CGMA, is a qualified and experience accountant now based in Lot-et-Garonne, France. He is making his time and expertise available to Nepalrvt as treasurer.
Madeleine Wheatley, MSc: Madeleine has an MSc in Conservation Ecology from the University of Antwerp and has carried out field work rural Tanzania. She is particularly involved in the NRVT Trees for Change project and the Jaleshwori Community Farm
Michael Askew, BA Hons A qualified Chartered Accountant, Michael has worldwide experience as a commercial and investment banker. He managed the Asian operations of the Banco Exterior de Espana (now BBVA) out of Hong Kong, and later the PRC banking activities of Belgium’s KBC bank based in Shanghai. He completed eleven years in China as a director, and ultimately President, of the Business Development Bank. He now brings his considerable business and financial expertise to help steer Nepal Remote Villages Trust.

Pasang is an experienced and fully-qualified trekking guide based in Kathmandu. He has first-hand knowledge of the country and is leading the Nepal-based branch of NRVT as its chairman. He is committed and passionate about improving the lives of the villagers in the mountains of Nepal and especially in the Khotang region where he grew up. Pasang is available to lead individual or group treks under the umbrella of NRVT.
