Trees for ChangeSupport Trees for Change with NRVT and economically empower a Nepali family while you help the planet.
The fruit and nut trees you purchase will be donated to subsistence farmers in remote Khotang giving them an additional source of food and a potential cash crop. The trees will also benefit the environment by sequestering carbon so your purchase will help offset your carbon footprint. Reducing your Carbon Footprint
A great way to reduce your carbon footprint is by planting trees. It's called terrestrial sequestration.
One fruit tree can sequester up to 50kg of carbon every year. Assuming an average lifespan of 50 years, that’s up to two metric tonnes of carbon captured and stored.
To offset more of your footprint, simply plant more trees!
